Okay ...Although it uses no original plot devices (except one) it's a good story. It wasn't great or breath taking.
In one review someone said it was a short read. That was not my perception at all. Whether it is the number of pages or my ability to get up and do other things, having to remind myself I had a book to finish...it felt like it just went on and on.
A major event happens just past the middle of the book that should have ended the story but instead, the author tacks on another story line. If she had woven both together perhaps it could have justified the rest of the story. Instead it was an additional and extremely weak plot.
A good thing about this story for which I must give the author kudos is the fact that our heroine got involved in a brutally abusive relationship because she was exploring her submissive side. All too often you have stories that have physically abused women found by Doms who proceed to enter into BDSM relationships. The first thing they do is spank or paddle them as if that is that magic cure.
Both men in this book are sensitive and patient. I believed their relationship because of their selflessness. Where can I find me a couple of those?
**** Now a note to the nurse from the UK who admonished a reader for pointing out the use of Mr instead of Dr Shearan. I would like to point out that the author set the story in America. It is NOT the reader's responsibility to find out the author's nationality so they could understand the use of the term Mr rather than Dr. I'll put my indignant, insulted born-in-the-USA hat on and say if the author sets her stories in The Americas it is her responsibility to do the research. (Which she so clearly did not.)
There is no place in these reviews to be condescending to someone who points out a valid literary mistake. If surgeons in Canada also go by Mr the author needed to say the character drove there from Chicago.
Do I recommend this book?
Only if you want to read a story that's drawn out because it added a second plot and if you've had any dealings with a surgeon in the UK and understand the use of Mr instead of Dr.

I think the story line had potential, but the writing just wasn't good.
At 20% in and I'm already overwhelmed with all the superlative adjectives. You seriously have your heroes taking a shower in 'boiling hot' water? Can we say third degree burns?
At 70% in and our heroine has just come out of surgery in critical condition in the ICU on a ventilator. The heroes have been informed of her ghastly injuries and they go to the bathroom, see they look like hell and start a game of splashing each other and laughing and giggling. Now I know that people have weird reactions to stress, but this is just too bizarre. Also, the doctor introduced himself to them as Mr Shearan. In my 30 years of nursing, I've never seen a doctor introduce himself or herself as anything other than Dr. I have seen a few introduce themselves using first and last names with no honorific, but they always include their specialty.
About two weeks in the hospital, half of that in a coma and she'd had abdominal surgery, she goes home with them and within a day, they're all three having sex together for the first time. Yikes!
Sorry for the spoilers. Read it for yourself though. Maybe others will like this writing style.
Good book
I enjoyed this as a quick read. It didn't have time to evolve in such a short story.
Even though I'm not into MM books that much, I really like this story. I hope she writes more in this series and soon!!!
The story was great but I wish more of the book was about the three characters together instead of waiting until almost the end. I will certainly buy more books from this author.
This book was just so off on so many levels. All the characters were childish, I know considering the subject matter it surprised me also. The men were like giggling teenagers, girl almost, sigh and Brooke was well, just so intolerable. I finished it, but with a lot of skip reading, very little research was done into the true state of the phisically abused, BDSM would have been and should have been a complete turnoff for the heroine after all she went through. I just don't know what the author was thinking.
This book by author Bella Settarra was a vRey good story. I felt the relationship of warmth and love between the two male main characters was very attractive and I felt empathy for the fear and mistrust the heroine felt after her past nightmare relationship. The story was well written, the plot kept it truly interesting and the reader really wanted the three of them to be together. The villain of the book was truly a heinous character who you just loved to hate. I thought the dangers the three main characters went through very much caused me to cheer on the heroes to rescue the heroine. All together a very good book that I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys MMF me ages live stories.
